Cut

$2,300.00

A broken man brings awareness to hundreds of children that were over encouraged to make it to the big league. They were golden, they were perfect, they would make it big. Their parents saw only a successful sports career and fame. Ultimately their journey was shortened by not making the cut. The blade cut through their heart and made it bleed with feelings of rejection and not ever being good enough. Their dreams shattered and futures uncertain. A loss so deep that many succumbed to addictions and sadly, many lives abruptly ended too young. This piece recognizes those emotions and as it whispers to those children, “I see you. You were and are enough”. Created 2023. 39 x 20 x 13 in.
